The former name of Rajabhat Institute Suan Dusit is Home Affairs Extraordinary Secondary School. It was the first home affairs school in Thailand under the Vocational Education Department of the Ministry of Education, first opened on may 17, 1934 at the palace of the Royal Princess Krome Luang Chumporn Khat Udomsak (presently the localtion of Rajamongkala Institute of Technology, Bangkok Commerce Campus). The objective of the school is to educate young ladies on home affairs in a 3 year curriculum.
